Seadrift Bay Fishing Reports

We continue on a blistering hot pace with heavy fish boxes rolling in. Elevated and unsettled winds continue to find wade fishing outperforming boat fishing.

We've got more and more folks getting wet and that's been the day saver and trip saver approach for many. Today has found a tad bit of wind stability after storms overnight which led Capt. Braden Proctor to nail his Trout down on a solid bite over Oyster Shell with guests of Justin T.

Redfishing has been waning at present with scattered fish buried in less than ideal locations. We'll see them come back together and tighten up schools sometime in July carrying through to August before changing real estate.

Sight casting to fish and blind casting under less than ideal conditions to structure is a classic approach among Seadrift Fly Fishing guides.

Boat fishing guides continue to pursue solid Redfish action ranging from barrier island back lakes to brackish upper Delta inflow marsh.

Capt. James Cunningham broke open the boat fishing scene with solid limits and fast action working mid-bay structure but that was short lived as winds have cranked up into the 20's and steady.
