It will be interesting to see what February holds? Is Winter finally going to kick in strong or are we going for an "Indian Spring". I'm betting on the latter and that's going to get the reels respooled immediately.

When things get tough, we get busy and it's best never to pre-judge tomorrow's results based on today's hunting or fishing. Ha, i've seen days where the fishing is on a straight B-line downhill only to hit the water the next day and have them jumping in the boat.

5 STAR REVIEW: "Just left the lodge riding back to Dallas. I was invited by a buddy last minute and didn't have a clue of what to expect. The days are long but the hunts are just awesome! From nature's beauty to the great crew I'll be back for sure. Be ready to shoot some duck, catch some fish and night hog hunting! Great times!"

It looks like Mother Nature may finally be with us and not against us, so here we go. Gadwall, Pintail, Redheads and a light mix of Teal and other species have been dominating the straps. Water levels have pulled back enough to give us some breathing and comfort room but remain higher than we'd like.
