Seadrift Bay Fishing Reports

While some stretches of the coast may not fish as well in these conditions, our environs set up nicely with numerous protected back lakes and shallow bays.

Capt. Braden struggled with bait approaches and switched over to Z-Man paddle tails in Pumpkin/chart and just lit them up with the John B. party. Capt. Donnie Heath managed to surround himself with schooling Reds over mud/grass in a back lake taking fish to 26".

Catching them in the tight confines of a narrow bayou is tricky to say the least but James said "I finally got them going" and that made for lots of smiles for guests of Chad R.

James reported lots of fish holding in the larger shallow bays but said they were pretty hard to pen down on a bite.

That has made things at the boat ramp extremely complicated and treacherous with boaters piling up on flats and grounding out all over the place
