Mid-Coast Waterfowl
Success continues to vary day to day depending on weather but these last couple of cold fronts have been encouraging catalysts for heated shooting. Full limits for some while others have been taking half limits or better. Capt. Matt has been staying steadily on the Canvasbacks along with other Divers and a few puddlers. Teal, Gadwall, Shoveler, Redheads, Bluebills, and a few Pintails have been comprising the majority of our straps. Heavy rains with Sunday's front again pressed some birds inland and most notably Pintails. As things start to dry up they will again dominate the back marshes. Most recent arrivals are swarms of Teal making their way to the coast.
We'll put some guests from Ga. on the road tomorrow morning and we'd like to thank Sean R. party; Keith J. group; Ron S. and family; Chet P. and guests from OH; Kent W. and family; Mark S. and family; Ron K, family and friends for the visit.
Fishing Scene
Capt. Chris and Capt. James E. have been steadily working on Trout with full limits coming in over two days with the Ron S. party. They've been working guts and shoreline tapers taking Trout to 22".
New Year & Lodge News
We're welcoming our newest Air Ranger Airboat to the family. It features the new Marine Power Cadillac 550HP Supercharged LSA on a 20' raked platform with Livorsi controls. Check her out. We've got to take our hat off to the folks at American Airboats for their untiring help and support.
We'd like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Come see us when you get a chance!
