For us there was lots of action on the flats and back marsh environs heading for the big Holiday! Capt. Kolten Braun started things off right with Trout and Black Drum limits working deep shell on PCS.

Water levels fell out and the guides were reporting some tight lip action going on all over the bay system.

Heading for the big transitions in April and we're expecting a great Summer. Bay waters have greened up bigtime in the last few days on pumping South winds and water levels have come up big time toward a more seasonal Spring pattern.

Combine the challenges of a full moon with a big water fall out and then put a 30 mph wind on top of that and I promise you'll have your hands full figuring that out. When that happens you better hope you're lucky and good!

Tides dropped out a bit overnight which will rearrange a few things but not bad. We've been enjoying lots of family groups over Spring Break and they've been having a ball. Weather is making a turn for the better and that's setting the stage for a really enjoyable rest of the break.

Capt. Braden struggled with bait approaches and switched over to Z-Man paddle tails in Pumpkin/chart and just lit them up with the John B. party. Capt. Donnie Heath managed to surround himself with schooling Reds over mud/grass in a back lake taking fish to 26".

Catching them in the tight confines of a narrow bayou is tricky to say the least but James said "I finally got them going" and that made for lots of smiles for guests of Chad R.

James reported lots of fish holding in the larger shallow bays but said they were pretty hard to pen down on a bite.
