Seadrift Bay Fishing Reports

The past week welcomed Corporate groups and Employee Appreciation venues. The cool snap was a welcome event with guests "bundling up to bow up".

Bait migrations out of the estuaries and back marshes is in full swing and they're heading for the Gulf with predators hot on their trail.

Capt. James Cunningham got right into it with guests of Bill's Trucking our of San Antonio with hot limits of Redfish

Hurricane Nate may have headed East but it brought us plenty of elevated tides. Capt. Braden Proctor said he went to drop a tie out stake and almost flipped out of the boat because he didn't hit bottom.

Bands of saltwater are being pushed up in different places and those locales are just holding tremendous numbers of fish

Our hearts go out to everyone that was touched by the storm and less fortunate. We came through with some tree damage but all of our people were safe and we didn't have any damage to our facilites.

Due to limited booking dates and space at Castaway Lodge, the following Company Policy is effective August 1st, 2007.

In discussing the schedule, we still have 09/14, 18, 19, 21, 24, and 26 thru 30th available for hunts at this time. So we've still got some room if you're looking to make a hunt. These trips easily combine with some awesome fishing and wing shooting for early Teal and/or Dove.

That has made things at the boat ramp extremely complicated and treacherous with boaters piling up on flats and grounding out all over the place
