Waking & Humping, Tarpon Jumping?

 

Redfish action continues strong in the back lakes and area mud/grass bays and marshes. The water fell out from the latest cool front and is “just about perfect” for a visually stimulating day on the water. Lots of fish pushing wakes and humping up as schools plow through hordes of baitfish pushing into the shallows. On a trip Saturday, Capt. Kris Kelley reported Redfish launching themselves into the air like Tarpon on two different occasions when being hooked. That’s a new one for us?
 
Solid Trout action continues steady over shell in ESB/SAB with back peddling to mud/grass in high winds. Live shrimp is readily available while success on Gulps and other soft plastics beneath an Almeda cork are producing for artificial users.
