Trout fishing continues to be the bright spot with Redfish back in the duldrums with blown up elevated tides. Freshwater hasn't been a bother and it looks like having Cedar Bayou open has been a big help moving and circulating water. The new Bayou Class rooms, campus, and facility are coming on line and we've had guests there for several days. The feedback has just been awesome on all of the improvements. We welcomed 20 guests with Sulzer Turbo in for two days and the boys had a big time between fishing, relaxing, and tossing horseshoes on the bayou. The Lobby in the Bayou Quarters building features massive 8 place tables perfect for playing cards and dominos and it looked like Casino Night with the Sulzer group taking full advantage of the new facilities. Follow that up immediately with the Norm Inivitational group that yearly gathers to celebrate the life of Norm Stemke, now 85 and still bending a rod with the best of them. The students, now many in their 60's, were students of Norm's in a one room school house in Austin, Texas and it's been a pleasure hosting this event for nearly a decade.
