Fishing Report
Warmer temps dominating heading for the Summer stretch. May is a month dominated by big winds and drought conditions have fueled the winds even more. That has had us working protected back waters focusing on Redfish and Black Drum. Topwaters have been accounting for some explosive action on the flats along with bait approaches. The guides have been covering a wide range of shallow bays. Moving forward we're hoping to see some rain and freshwater inflows right now would really help bracket the fish. That's a tall order as drought conditions persist. Moving to big water structure is going to require the winds to back down into seasonal norms under 15 knots. That's where we look to intercept Trout along with schools of Black Drum which have pulled out of the back country spawning grounds. Redfish will frequent the shell pads also foraging from reef to reef where the menu looks good!
We've got lots of great fishing ahead, come see us!
