Bob is smart but Bud's-weiser!

Our lodge is a showcase of local Seadrift fishing and waterfowl hunting guides that have dedicated their lives to excellence on the water, sometimes at great personal cost relative to other occupations. It's all part of it and we really wouldn't have it any other way. We recognize when our guests come for a visit, beyond catching a bunch of fish or killing a bunch of ducks is the main objective which is making memories of a lifetime. That's serious business that we recognize is the true and least mentioned part of the job.

Fishing Report - Redfish Shining on Big Winds/Airboat Fishing Prime Time Continues

Capt. Justice Cunningham reported tough Trout fishing on a wade trip with guests but managed to stumble into hammer down Redfishing action taking full limits over mud/grass. Most all of the boat fishing has been targeting scattered Redfish over mud/grass and various shell locations. Hiding from the wind has been key as it has been blistering for longer than we'd care to mention. That cycle has broken over the weekend and Sunday's trips saw the first decline off of mid-20's and gusting. We're looking for a bounce on late season Trout over shell pads in big water that's clearing up. That remains to be seen. Capt. Chris Cady reported excellent action on the airboat trips working the extreme shallows on blown up tides associated with Imelda. We know the Houston area has bene under water and our hearts go out to all of the folks displaced up there. We, however, are dry as a bone in a mini-drought, burn ban is in effect.

Lodge News - Alligator Hunting On The Backside

We'll be welcoming guests in for the last part of the season this week with Anheuser-Busch gracing us with guests from all over the Nation. We're going to try to go out with a bang and some super solid animals that we've got our eye on! Stay tuned for that one!

November/December Fishing or The Best Texas Cast & Blast

We've still go plenty of dates and availability as of this writing for corporate or friends and family outings in November/December. Duck Season starts on November 2nd and runs through December 1st. It will re-open on 12/14 running through the end of January. If you're not into duck hunting, no problem! Enjoy the cooler weather and some hammer down fishing. From boat fishing to wade fishing artificial lures, sight casting, or fly fishing, it's just a magical time of year!

We've got lots and lots of great fishing ahead of us. So if you're planning a trip, get started HERE.
