Ducks continue pushing into the Wintering grounds with each passing front. January should be excellent as always.

Folks have been here at the lodge working the flats on fishing trips as well as hitting the ducks and fish on Cast & Blast trips.

We managed to fish straight through TS Beta with little inconvenience with guests of Chris H. and David M. from the Houston area.

That's got lots of folks "feeling fishy" and we've been hitting the back lakes and shallow mud/grass bays with great folks from all over the State and Nation.

Post cold front weather has dented the run of full limits with mild winds and slick off conditions.

Redheads are looking good and piling into the bays and back lakes on each passing cold front. We're looking at Geese and Sandhills making there way in to the Central Flyway Wintering grounds as well.

The result, two days of picture editing that I thought would never end! We've been blessed with "The Who's Who" of corporate and Fortune 500 companies entertaining employees and clients as well as plenty of friends and family trips as well enjoying the great outdoors here on the mid-coast.

We'll be making more and more of a switch to soft plastics and topwaters (Spring time in reverse) as we head toward consistently cooler water temperatures.
