Seadrift Bay Fishing Reports

All February thru the end of March will find some gritty Airboat fishing in primetime with mixed schools of Black Drum and Redfish making for big pulls and heavy fish boxes.

That delayed bait migrations into the bays and it was one of the toughest we've seen on area bait camps.

That's got lots of folks "feeling fishy" and we've been hitting the back lakes and shallow mud/grass bays with great folks from all over the State and Nation.

The result, two days of picture editing that I thought would never end! We've been blessed with "The Who's Who" of corporate and Fortune 500 companies entertaining employees and clients as well as plenty of friends and family trips as well enjoying the great outdoors here on the mid-coast.

We'll be making more and more of a switch to soft plastics and topwaters (Spring time in reverse) as we head toward consistently cooler water temperatures.

We founded Coastal Waterfowl in 1993 showcasing our Big 5 including Pintail, Wigeon, Gadwall, Redheads & all North American species of Teal.

We'll be welcoming guests in for the last part of the season this week with Anheuser-Busch gracing us with guests from all over the Nation.

Our Texas coastal duck hunting lodge has been gunning the mid-coast since 1993. We welcome guests from all over the Nation for the best showcase of waterfowl hunting anywhere in the World.

Overcast skies and a little rain of late have moderated temperatures. That in concert with a tide fall out has brought Redfish out of the woodwork.

We'll be looking for Tropical developments and early cool snaps to really spring board the fishing moving into September, October, and November.
