In discussing the schedule, we still have 09/14, 18, 19, 21, 24, and 26 thru 30th available for hunts at this time. So we've still got some room if you're looking to make a hunt. These trips easily combine with some awesome fishing and wing shooting for early Teal and/or Dove.
Back N Forth On Big Winds

Capt. James Cunningham and Capt. Chris Cady bent the boards big time with Kevin's group taking Trout limits and solid numbers of Redfish hitting a window of stable winds late week.

The wind had settled out that morning and decent tides brought greening water over prime structure in perfect timing with the water entry. That led the guests to a barn burner and some heavy fish boxes with board bending smiles to all.

Capt. James Cunningham said "timing was everything and you had to be in the right place at the right time while eyeballing tide catalysts and even waiting on them if necessary".

For us in the bays, it's been a non-stop barrage of solid Trout action. Clint and Colt K. broke the ice on the Redfish bite with Capt. James Cunningham wade fishing late week.

Capt. James Cunningham said there's just a ton of Trout in the bays and it would take some really bad luck at this point to shut it down.

The last week has been a blur and just flying by with lots of great fun and fishing. We'd like to thank everyone that has come for visit and just made our first fishing season after the expansion a huge success. Guests are loving the bayou facilities; pavilions; horseshoe pits and that big ole limestone fireplace on the burm.

Capt. James Cunnigham reported full limits of Trout on a two boat trip with Brian S. and guests on Monday as things settled out a bit. After that it was back to big winds and big tides rising as TS Cindy approaches the La. coastaline. Working mud/grass in protected locations had decent catches of Trout and a very few Redfish.

Longtime guests of the lodge from Brenham to San Antonio just had a ball with the fishing early and mid-week. Trout limits and some decent Redfish action made for a great time. We were proud to welcome the Hermann party along with Frank, Ronnie, and Luis with Frank's Paving in mid-week.
