September Eye & Ear Candy

Castaway Lodge Seadrift Report
By Capt. Kris Kelley

Whooshing and buzzing are two familiar sounds around here as Teal swarms darken the skies and Hummingbirds dump the feeders here at the lodge twice a day. The Fall migration is in full swing. Throw in the big pull of Texas sized Lizards and backwater Redfish and you've got the makings for a lot of smiles. Nothing huge on the Alligator front as of yet, Lizards to near 9' are being taken by our guests so far. Heading into Saturday's Teal opener, we are looking for quick limits followed by some big pulls on Trout and Reds in this cooler weather. Cooler weather and the look and feel of Fall, it's one of my most favorite times of year.

We've got openings on Teal hunts and Cast & Blasts barring Saturday's opener. As always, we hope hump day has been a good one for everybody. Come see us when you get a chance!
