Booking, Deposits & Cancellations
Due to limited booking dates and space at Castaway Lodge, the following Company Policy is effective August 1st, 2007. When a reservation or “booking” is made with Castaway Lodge, a 50% non-refundable deposit for the cost of the entire party will be collected. Trip costs are based upon the number of people booked at the time of reservation. If for any reason, any party member booked at the time of reservation does not give at least 30 days notice of cancellation prior to the date booked, the remaining 50% balance for that person will still be due and owed to Castaway Lodge. (**Does not include Hotel/Motel Tax**) If a “group” reservation or booking is made by one of the party members, then that person assumes sole responsibility for the entire party/group at the time of booking. The client making the reservation will be responsible for the entire 50% non-refundable deposit and will be responsible for the remaining 50% balance due at the end of their stay at Castaway Lodge, as well as bearing responsibility for the 30 days notification of cancellation prior to the booking date for any party member. This amount again is based upon the actual number of people for which the original booking was made. Since Castaway Lodge can book only a limited number of parties on any one date, we operate on a scheduling structure based upon occupancy and availability of our Guides. Strict adherence to this policy is required to maintain appropriate Guide assignments and maximum occupancy at our facility. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you soon!
