BAY FISHING V. GOOSE-DUCK HUNTING

This page is dedicated primarily to the needs of duck hunters and goose hunters. However, the quest for speckled trout and Redfish has some gear necessities as well. During the summer months, the sun can take its toll when bay fishing. I recommend a quality sunblock that won’t kill your bait. The only one I’m aware of is called Smartshield and it is available at most Academy Stores in the Houston area. We provide it to our customers should it be needed.

WADEFISHING FOR TROUT AND REDFISH

Wade fisherman typically come prepared with fishing rods, stringers, and a good amount of fishing tackle. We have a considerable amount of tackle and artificial lures to choose from. We are happy to provide fishing lures as needed. For wade fishing, we recommend that you come prepared to enter the water with the gear that you feel most comfortable fishing with.

GEAR UP FOR GOOSE AND DUCK HUNTING

Texas weather is unpredictable to the point that it has ruined many careers of NOAA Weather Radio personnel. Simply put, we recommend bringing clothing and gear suitable to maintaining your desired level of comfort in weather ranging from "Hot and Humid" to "Cold and Clammy", all in the same hunt. Plan on temperatures ranging from warmer and colder than you think possible.

Call now to make your reservations at 1-888-618-4868 or e-mail us.

Once you reach the motel, our camp is within short driving distance. With the exception of goose hunting, there is a little travel involved with our hunts. All duck hunting and fishing is accessed by boat. Boat rides of more than 20 minutes are uncommon. Even during extreme weather conditions, our hunting locations are safely accessible.

I do a lot of fishing on the coast and one thing I can say: Kris knows where the fish are and he knows how to use croakers.
